HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in a remote or isolated site

COST: $250

Participants completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a remote or isolated site over an extended period of time until medical assistance is provided, or evacuation occurs.
This unit applies to any site where medical assistance is likely to be delayed. First aid is to be provided in line with guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399

  • HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID013 – Provide First Aid in remote or isolated site

Recertification

The HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in a remote or isolated site is current for 3 years. The HLTAID009 Provide CPR component is current for 1 year.

Duration

Completion of an online component plus a full day face to face training and practical scenarios.

Prerequisites
  • Participants must be 14 years or older
  • Participants need to have completed the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course perviously
Award Issued
  • Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (HLTAID009) Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Transfer Of Bookings:
Transfers are available prior to the commencement date. A transfer to another course will be issued if we receive a written request 5 business days prior to your nominated course commencement date. If a transfer is made less than 5 days prior to the course commencement date, a $22.00 administration fee will apply. If a written request is not received within 48 hours of the course commencement date, the participant will forfeit 100% of the course fee.

Refunds:
A refund is given if a written request is received 5 days prior to the scheduled course commencement date and an administration fee of $22.00 (GST included) will be incurred. All refund requests to be emailed to certificates@southcoastfirstaid.com.au refunds will be issued within 5 days of receiving the cancellation documentation. If a written request is not received within 5 days of the course commencement date, the participant will forfeit 100% of the course fee.

Schedule Changes:
Events Beyond Our Control: we may need to cancel or reschedule training courses or services due to any event beyond our reasonable control. South Coast First Aid will endeavour to offer an alternate date for your course however, in the event that the alternate date is not suitable, a full refund of the course fee will be provided.

  • It is a requirement of the Unit of Competency that the CPR on the adult and child manikins must be performed kneeling on the ground, no exceptions. Participants are advised to wear comfortable casual attire.
